CONSUMER ENGAGEMENT
"Nothing about me without me"

Advancing person-centered living principles and practices will require each one of us to embody our watchword “Nothing about me without me” and come together to make our voices heard:

Do you wish that you had an opportunity to talk to decision-makers and providers of eldercare services and supports so that your needs and preferences are known?  Currently there is no mechanism for consumers of aging and disability services to come together to register their perspectives and concerns.  CCAL will begin partnering with leading national organizations to host Town Hall Forums across the country every year to bring together these consumers with aging and disability leaders.

Personal voices and experiences can be a very powerful force to directly influence and inform decision-makers and providers of aging and disability services.  Elders and people with disabilities and their family member advocates and others in their support network can sign up here in early 2011 to participate in a Town Hall Forum.  Make your voice heard!

Beginning later in 2011, CCAL and other leading national service organizations will launch a national PCL Awareness Campaign. A multi-channel PCL Awareness Campaign will disseminate the PCL Bill of Rights created by consumers across the nation so consumers have a means to enlighten service providers who are not delivering person-centered services.   Make your voice heard!

CCAL invites you to engage with us to Connect, Communicate, and Collaborate with other consumers, family members, professionals, and experts to advance person-centered living for you and your loved ones.
